1,Scope of Application

This standard applies to all handheld and manually operated laser processing devices, including handheld laser welders, laser cleaning machines, laser derusting equipment, and portable laser surface treatment machines. It covers the full lifecycle safety requirements of equipment design, manufacturing, marking, technical documentation, and on-site operation supervision.

It does not apply to fixed laser cutting machines, bench-type laser marking machines, and laser equipment operated only by remote controllers or joysticks without manual handheld operation.
